Hello everyone, I am currently pondering the installation location of our air-to-water heat pump as a split device.
At the moment, according to the planning, we have the outdoor unit positioned in front of the house facing west toward the street. Unfortunately, the device is thus permanently exposed to wind and weather. Our weather here is cold and very windy. However, no neighbor feels disturbed by this.
Optionally, it was considered that the outdoor unit be placed to the east in the corner area between the house and garage. Here, the device would be better protected from the weather and would also have a significantly shorter distance to the indoor unit. The problem is that it stands about 3.5 m away from the currently undeveloped neighboring property, which might possibly also build up to 3 m near our property. That would place the outdoor unit only a little more than 6 m from them... keyword noise sensitivity. Due to the corner positioning, I also suspect stronger noise development?
The garage roof is not an option.
Attached is a rough sketch.
I would appreciate other opinions and suggestions
