Opening for exhaust hood

Dear forum members,

we currently have masonry work going on and the masons could do a core drilling for us so that the exhaust air can be directed out of it later.

Furthermore, a wall box would have to be installed. Now my question is, when is the wall box installed (after attaching the insulation or already now?) and how is the insulation protected from condensation? Foam sealant?

Maybe something like this has already been done at your place.

With us, this is only done after the plastering by core drilling.

Carried out by the masonry company. The insulation (wool) has long been installed. I know two cases from my circle of acquaintances where the same procedure was followed two years ago. I have not heard of any complaints so far. In one case, the chimney sweep did it. I could also ask the electrician many trades have a core drill

For me, the insulation is applied quite late, by then the masons are long gone. The insulation will probably be done by a different company... Then the hole remains open forever
