Hi,

I saw a type of water pipe in the basement leading to the water meter and don’t know what kind or what it is.
Can someone provide information about the pictures?
What is this water pipe?

Thanks and best regards,

That really looks like an old water pipe. Led from below into the basement, flange, and further to the old water meter. If there is no water meter anymore, the pipe can be removed, as it is decommissioned. If there is a water meter, turn on the water and watch the meter to see if it moves. If it moves, this is your water connection and still in operation. The pipe is galvanized iron and 30-80 years old.

Thank you for the information. Yes, there is still an intact water meter with which there is still water in the house. Good to know that it is not lead, but it will still be renovated.
