Hello everyone!

Today I received two offers for a prefabricated garage with the dimensions 3.48 x 6.00 x 2.64 (LxWxH), gate opening 3 x 2.12. The following items are included in the offer: ventilation opening in the rear wall, wipe-resistant interior paint (coarse textured plaster), concrete floor with slope towards the gate, roof for greening (+ roof reinforcement for snow load), sectional door, a door at the back leading to the terrace exit, an electrical package (power outlets), a sliding bearing for paving connection, and all this at a price of €11,700. The foundation slab will be done by the civil engineering and structural work and therefore is not included here. Now I find it somehow quite expensive and will of course request further offers. What do you think?

It's about.... you are out of the standard dimension six by three. That costs. If you take six by three, the truck could depart with two pieces, the truck could set up its own crane, no special permit and no heavy transport hassle would be necessary, that saves. Six by three same design at 8. Bet? Karsten

yes, that is a special size because I would like to have a bit more space at the back (storage space for bicycles as there is no basement). Phew, now I have to think about whether the 0.5 meters are worth almost 4,000 euros to me. Are single garages only 3x6 standard?

Even smaller would also be possible. But look in the [Stvo]. The transport dimension is limited to three meters width. Above that, special permission is required. A semi-trailer can carry two pieces or 12 m in length. If it gets longer, then only one. Our Rekers 6 by three cost 7,300,- without electricity but with foundations delivered and installed free of charge. Similar to your design. But with a swing gate, also a back door included. Smaller is out of the question... I was already wondering why the offer lists "Fahrgenehmigung", "Überführpauschale" and "Transportbegleitung", so because of the oversize, OK. These services apparently cost €835 net.

Is a crane absolutely necessary? For one it says "the required crane installation will be charged based on effort" and for the other "If a mobile crane is still needed due to construction site conditions, this will be charged additionally". What would that cost roughly in addition?

Watch on YouTube how to set it up. If that doesn't work, a mobile crane will come. Costs unknown. But it will always be 200,- per hour. Travel time is included.
