Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum, first question....

At the beginning of August, my construction project starts, a single-family house without a basement.
I have received an offer from my general contractor for the earthworks according to the soil survey and hope someone can assess whether it is a fair offer :) I'm a layman and can't properly judge it.
Alternatively, I could look for my own provider, this would of course be the convenient option.

Briefly about the content:
- 100m³ earth removal/excavation, material will be leveled elsewhere
- 145m² geotextile 200gr/GKR3 delivery and installation
- 160m³ RC gravel 0-32 delivery, installation, compaction
- 2 plate load tests
- 1 drainage trench with gravel
----------------------------
Total gross 8900,-

What do you think?
Can I accept it or is it better to do a comparison round again?

Looking forward to answers

Then welcome to us :)

What does your GC say? Has he checked it? Is there a plan where one can cross-check?

How should we compare this? Does the excavator drive 100 meters or 20 km to get the gravel?
Several offers are never wrong, that way you can better compare the prices.
