NORDLI bed frame, step 30 in IKEA manual page 19 unclear

Hello everyone,

Step 30 in the instructions on page 19 is unclear to me for the NORDLI bed frame.

My slatted frame Sultan Laxeby does not fit these plastic knobs, it neither fits between them nor properly on top of them. Is this perhaps only meant for slatted frames without a frame? Can I then do without it with my slatted frame?

You have a slatted frame with a frame, so get rid of the plastic caps. They are only used to keep a slatted frame without a frame in place.
