Hello,

I am currently renovating our bathroom in the basement, which needs to be redone after water damage.
At the moment, I have a problem with the shower.
I would like to install a walk-in shower, but I am unsure about the dimensions and the wastewater connection and hope someone can help me.

If I remove the screed, I have about 58 to 60 mm up to the top edge of the screed.
Is that enough for a walk-in shower?
Additionally, the wastewater connection is probably too high, can that be changed?
Attached are a few pictures for clarification.

I would be very grateful for some information .

In my opinion, it works. For the shower drainage channel (check with Kessel), use the Linearis Comfort, which has a height of 66mm. You can chisel out the approximately 10mm difference missing from the floor. Looking at the drainage situation, it should work with the ultra-flat one from Kessel, measure to confirm. If not, do you have a room under the shower area? If yes, then take the vertical drain from Kessel with or without a channel and connect it to the drain pipe in the floor below.

Please don't forget the fire protection in cases like this! There must be a fire protection collar around it!

Morning

Where does a fire protection collar need to be placed there?
And why?

Hello,

to my knowledge, a sleeve must be installed around the shower drain pipe, as it is a combustible plastic pipe and is considered a pipe penetration.
