Hello everyone,

We are now almost finished with our construction project.
The electricity meter is installed and now we have received a letter from an electricity provider stating that they are our [Grundversorger].
The letter lists all possible cent amounts per kWh but it is not really clear what the exact price is.
I have read that the electricity from the [Grundversorger] is always the most expensive.

How do I find a cheaper electricity provider?
We also have two electricity meters because of the heat pump.
Do we need to make a separate contract for this, since this electricity is supposed to be cheaper than household electricity?

Regarding the [Grundversorger], it concerns the postal code 54636.

Can you help me?

Thank you.

With the usual suspects like Verivox or Check24. Note, some providers, such as local ones, are missing due to lack of commission. However, as a first reference point, these are definitely useful.

There you can search separately for heat pump electricity and household electricity; usually, there is one provider for both. The terms are then different, but you have one customer number.

does not necessarily have to be the worst rate. Just call and ask what they can offer you

Gladly.
The basic supplier is the energy supplier that is obligated to supply you with electricity in your area. Other providers can refuse you as a customer.

In order for consumers to have a choice of electricity supplier, connection and supply are "unbundled." This means that you can freely choose your energy supplier without changing the connection or meter.
On the portals suggested by , you will find price comparisons and can switch conveniently – the range is enormous but not complete.

When choosing the supplier, I would not only pay attention to the price but also to any potential contract term and type of generation (eco).

I once assumed Bickendorf, then you have Innogy as the basic supplier.

Assumed 2000 KWh heat pump electricity

463.46 euros (Costs for the comparison tariff Klassik Strom WP of the provider innogy calculated for the first contract year)

this must be beaten!

Assumed 2500 KWh household electricity

813.78 euros (Costs for the comparison tariff Klassik Strom of the provider innogy calculated for the first contract year)
