Good evening everyone,
we are currently planning to build a multi-family house with 7 units (living area approx. 700 sqm).
So far, the plan was to install an air or ground source heat pump in the building.
There is also another two-family house and a horticultural business on the property.
However, I am now considering whether it might make sense to install a combined heat and power plant or chip heating system in the business and then supply the two adjacent houses with district heating.
The new building is about 65m away from the boiler room and the two-family house is 27m away.
The two-family house has a gas heating system installed, with a consumption of about 5000 kWh.
The business needs about 15-20000 liters of heating oil per year, and there is still a 500 kW oil heating system from the 1980s installed. The annual electricity consumption in the business area is about 15000 kWh.
If any information is missing, of course I am available. :-)
Thank you in advance for your help!
Have a nice evening and
best regards!
