Hello dear forum,

we moved into our property about 2 years ago and need a door for our converted attic. The problem with the whole thing: the passageway is only 60cm wide and we have no ideas what to do here so that one can still fit through it. I am open to creative suggestions.

Many thanks in advance!

What is the door supposed to separate or protect against?

Mainly, it should be about reducing the volume. When I am upstairs (office), you can hear almost everything from the stairwell.

Then a curtain would be sufficient. It can be a bit thicker and sturdier and then provides good damping.

Do you have any experience with that? I don't find it visually perfect, but if it has the desired effect, I'm fine with it.

Sure; felt would be suitable or loden or velvet; you can edge the seams with leather if you like the look - then it will be indestructible.
