Mount Ikea IVAR cabinet without side panel to the wall

I would like to equip our study with the Ivar shelving system and attach 2 of the cabinets directly to the wall above the sofa bed, since they cannot be supported at the bottom by the side panels. I am very clumsy and not particularly skilled at DIY, so I would have someone else do it, but I would like to know if it is basically possible. Does anyone have experience with this?

So the IVAR shelves can definitely be attached to the wall with brackets or similar.
