We are currently facing a problem. The tiler cut the opening for the mixer tap too large by about 10mm. All three!!! Two showers and one bathtub mixer tap. We now have two options a) have it grouted and get a discount b) remove all necessary tiles (bathtub as well) and redo it. To the experienced ones? What would you recommend?

Have the corresponding tiles replaced. You will look at them every day later on.

Definitely out and new. For now, it's still relatively easy.

Professionally, sealing sleeves still belong around the connections. If the tiler adheres to that, it will fit as well.

Get it redone! This is not proper craftsmanship. In addition, there is a risk that very quickly cracks will form in these huge joints.

Sometimes what they do is really cool. In our current apartment building my wife came to the construction site during the build when the bathrooms were being installed. That day they installed the shower doors. The only problem was that the doors hung with a 10cm gap above the floor. My wife: ehhhm, what is that? Worker: öhhhhm, the shower tray will go underneath. My wife: have you checked the plan and the order? Worker: öhhm, no... My wife: we don’t have a shower tray, but barrier-free showers! Result, all the tiles in the shower had to be replaced. Obviously, they had holes drilled for the shower door.
