Hello, we built a house and electric roller shutters were installed there. Immediately after our move-in, the motors broke down and continue to break down. The first motors were removed and replaced during the 2-year warranty period. Now, after 3.5 years, the next defect occurred and the motor was replaced again. Unfortunately, today we received an invoice for the removal and installation of the motor, as well as the assembly costs. In this case, can't it be considered a defective product and insist that all motors be replaced? I do not see why I should pay for this! What is your opinion and what is the legal situation in this case? Thank you for your answers.

Hello,

Legal advice in Germany is exclusively reserved for the consulting professions!

Before you inform yourself about laws and claims - through a lawyer - you should seek a conversation with your former provider. If necessary, a settlement can be found as a gesture of goodwill; proof of hidden defects is not as easy as you might assume ;)

Kind regards
