Hello everyone, I would like to prepare an interior wall so that I can attach photos magnetically to it. For this, I want to use small self-adhesive magnetic sheets that I stick to the back of the photos. This has proven very effective for us on metal door frames, as new photos can be quickly exchanged without having to be framed first. The holding strength does not need to be too strong. The wall should remain white and otherwise inconspicuous. What would you suggest here? A specific paint or a foil under the wallpaper? Best regards Hendrik

Brillux offers "CreaGlas Glasvlies VG 4101 Magnetic," a glass fleece with a magnetic backing lamination, used in commercial spaces (office, seminar room, etc.). This is surely also available from other providers, I am neither related nor affiliated with them but just know it by chance (also from personal experience: it works).

We bricked up a door at our place and installed a perforated metal sheet about 80x100 cm flush with the rest of the wall in the plaster - then painted the wall, done.

Best regards

Magnet paint is available in every hardware store and holds everything with niobium magnets.

There are so-called "magnetic plasters" that are made with metal sands, to be applied as a top coat with 3-5mm thickness. The substrate/undercoat should have minimum strength. Very soft plasters, e.g. pure lime plasters or thermal insulation plasters, are not suitable. The magnetic adhesion is very good, especially with neodymium magnets.

Thank you very much. I will try that with the color.
