Hello everyone,

we are building a single-family house with facing brickwork. The selection is huge and at the same time difficult, as the overall effect can usually only be guessed based on the small sample sections. The joint color also has a great impact, of course. Currently, we have Röben and Steencentrale Roxane as manufacturers to choose from. Nevertheless, we have been trying for some time to identify the following facing brick or to get closer to it, meaning manufacturer and designation. Maybe you have an idea or a hot tip for us?

I also contacted the construction company from which I got the picture (PBE-Massivhaus), but never received a response. Do you know the stone or one that is very similar to it?

Thank you for your support!

Hi,

have you ever looked at the Moorbrand sand yellow-multicolor from Röben? I think it comes quite close to your picture and would then also be from the right manufacturer. It is also important which jointing you choose for the facing brick; depending on this, a stone often looks completely different.
I wish you good luck with your search; I know only too well how long you can spend choosing the facing.

Best regards, Teyla

P.S. I wouldn’t choose a facing brick based on a picture or a small sample at the building materials dealer anyway, as it always looks different on a large surface. We picked our favorites from the common manufacturers and asked for reference addresses and visited them, sometimes several addresses per stone, because depending on the house type and joint color it created a different overall impression. Some stones looked totally awful "in real life" and I would never have chosen them for my own . So it’s good to have seen them beforehand!

Hi Teyla,

thanks for your answer! Yes, exactly that is what we have already done and checked several from Röben. Among others, also the Moorbrand sand yellow-multicolor, as we also thought it was very close to it. But when we saw the stone on three different houses, we knew it is too yellow for us or not what we are looking for. Currently, we tend towards the Moorbrand clay-multicolor with white / light joint. Do you happen to know it as well?

Best regards

Huhu sunny,

we also looked at the sand yellow, clay, and peat from Röben and liked them all very much. However, since we wanted something more colorful, only the colorful peat was left, which our neighbor already has, so we then took a brick from the company Wienerberger.

For a light red brick, I would definitely choose a light joint, in my opinion, these dark or cement-colored joints rather suit dark bricks. By the way, we have joints in beige-white, which look as "strong" as a truly white joint.

Can you only choose between these two manufacturers at your construction company, or why are you limited to the two?

Hey, friends of ours have a house that is quite close to your picture. And I asked around... They have the "Silbersand" from Vandersanden in the color Red/Brown antique with joints in "Champagne". And that looks very similar to the picture!
