Hello,

I would like to renew my heating system before autumn. So far, we have an old oil boiler. However, I would like to move away from oil. An important point for us is that unfortunately we do not have a very high budget. What solution would you recommend? Is the switch to natural gas actually expensive? The connection would be here and that could be an alternative to oil, right?

Thanks for your help!

Hello Basti,

What does that mean in plain terms?

Kind regards

Hello Basti,

there are different ways to approach the topic. Either you want a comprehensive overview of the current state and the possibilities to make the property energetically fit in the long term, or you consider only the heating issue in isolation.
For a “Sanierungsmasterplan” you should contact an energy consultant, whose involvement is also subsidized by the state. Depending on the property, this costs around €1000, about €300 is reimbursed by the state.
If you only look at the heating system, I would contact two SHK specialist companies near you and of course talk to your existing service provider. They should advise you on the topic of natural gas condensing boilers.
In addition to the pure investment costs for the plant technology (approximate amount €5,000, depending on property size, location, use of solar share, with or without heating support, etc. à as you can see, there is a need for advice here), connection costs may also be added. These can amount to around €1,500 – €2,500; sometimes there are bonus programs from energy suppliers, so that these costs are waived or reduced to a few hundred euros. Info here from the SHK craftsman or directly from the local energy supplier.

Best regards
