I have to add something again. I am building in Portugal, so not with the German construction company. There were also "reliability issues" in advance with the representative here, and some statements that later turned out to be false.
In February, I then spoke on the phone with the managing director and owner of Norges Hus, Andreas R. (I don’t know if one is allowed to write full names here). He promised me a personal visit since he is often in PT and northern Spain. Despite about 10 inquiries, that has not happened to this day. He was indeed often in PT and ES, but never made it to me. By the way, I am building a large house with almost 300 sqm, so I should be a client who can be visited. There were never any callbacks or messages/cancellations either.
We would do all the construction ourselves with my civil engineer on site. Only the house package plus transport and assembly would come from Norges Hus. Andreas R. promised me that his team from Estonia would come and erect the house. My civil engineer in PT told me, by the way, that the quality was good, at least as far as he can judge. We looked at a construction site on site when they were setting up.
That’s where I am now. The contract is in place. However, now everything seems too "shady" to me. I will probably bite the bullet and completely redo the planning. Better an end with a fright than a fright without end.
By the way, when you call Estonia, all phone numbers always lead to Andreas R.’s cell phone. There is no phone reception. According to an internet search, Norges Hus in Estonia had a turnover of 3.2 million USD in 2018 with 8 employees. Unfortunately, I don’t have the link anymore, but one should be able to research that quickly oneself.
