Hello I have a question My linoleum engineered wood flooring is detaching from the carrier in a length of 10 cm and a width of about 5 mm in a joint area (water exposure) In this joint area, the linoleum stands about 1 mm high Is there a special adhesive with which I can re-glue the damaged area and also close the approximately 1 mm wide joint? I thank you in advance for your help Klaus Barth

Hello Product: Click parquet linoleum from OBI Age: approx. 3 years Circumstances: The parquet is located in the entrance area of a practice, water exposure from above due to wet shoes. Only the linoleum has detached from the carrier layer (it can be pushed back with the index finger, the carrier material is not swollen). I have no pictures, as it is a small gap and nothing would be visible in a picture. Many thanks for your help Klaus

hello,

joints up to approx. 3mm could be welded. this prevents further penetration of water, but is then visible.

my recommendation for entrance areas is dirt traps. these catch dirt particles and moisture and reduce the transfer of dirt into the further rooms by up to 90%. you can install dirt traps permanently or lay them as mats on existing coverings.

best regards

Hello,

We have done that as well and now have floor mats lying in this area. I also had the problem with the water and I was able to weld it well. However, it is hardly visible.

Yes, I know that too and I have experienced it before. I also welded it shut, but it is visible. But the idea with the [Schmutzmatten] is a good one and I will take a closer look at it. Good tip.
