Level the plot yourself?

Hello. Has anyone leveled their property themselves or done earthworks / earthmoving? Is a mini excavator enough for that? Which bucket or attachment do you need to rent? We have a slight slope.

Well, you can forget about a mini excavator. I wouldn't start with anything under 10 tons. Otherwise, a bucket is enough. You get that provided by the rental company. But I doubt if it's worth leveling it yourself. Best to get some quotes. Besides, you don't just need excavators but also laser and compactor. You can calculate everything together + delivery costs. And then compare. I did it myself too. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it at all.
