Hello dear ones!

I have been sitting for hours planning the LED spots in the bathroom for our new building. I actually thought that 5 spots would be enough. Then distributed symmetrically. But then the distances are partly way too large (140 & 158 cm). I hope you can see all the necessary info on my sketch. Sorry for the poor quality. Do you have any ideas on how to do it better/differently? Should I just add 2 more spots?

5 are enough. However, I would install a mirror cabinet with light (and sockets) above the washbasin. Because right in front of the washbasin you need extremely good light.

The distances are not too large—really not. Enough. Karsten

The distances should be small enough so that you have no unlit spots on the floor. Your distances are also sometimes nearly 2 meters, I estimate - you also have to measure diagonally. Additionally, I estimate the distance from the wall to be too large for the spots above the bathtub and toilet. Imagine the light cone projected onto the wall. In general, you need to consider the beam angle of the spots in your evaluations.

Have you planned a rain shower? Then consider the shadow cast by the overhead shower and, if necessary, two spots in the shower.

Why does the shower have to be illuminated without shadows? Is this an operating room? I consider that unnecessary. Also, the cones do not have to overlap seamlessly, we are talking about a bathroom here. Spots set accents and are not the sole room lighting. I wouldn’t place one over the tub, who wants to lie there and look into a spot.

I do think that the OP is talking about general lighting here, not about "accents". Otherwise: interesting point of view. To each their own.
