Hello everyone,
in our new building, the front door is not airtight, the defect was acknowledged by the door company, the new door has been ordered but will only be delivered and installed at the end of January. My question to you now is, do I have a right to the heating costs that I am basically blowing outside? How is that calculated? The door noticeably drafts, so that water condenses on the inside of the aluminum door.

Thanks in advance,

Franz

I also find it exaggerated to want to have partial heating costs reimbursed. Be glad if everything goes smoothly and without major discussions. Maybe closing helps a bit? Our door is also a bit "pulled" when closing. Otherwise, maybe stick some foam sealing tape on the door???

Ruthless contemporaries would ultimately appropriately (!) reduce the bill, after all, the process of "delivering and installing a defect-free door" took at least two months longer than agreed (what was agreed?). Claiming damages I consider exaggerated in this context. The damage would first have to be determined, not easy.
