Hello everyone, I need to lay underground cable and paving stones for about 1.5m in a corner of the garden. I have already removed the paving stones and wanted to go 60cm deep. The problem is that I hit concrete after just 10cm and that along the entire length. Also, the gardener laid the underground cable under the lawn and that is definitely not 60cm. I estimate it is about 20cm. The question now is, does anyone have an idea or a tip? Maybe use a rigid conduit? Use [Fränkisches m25 leerroh r]? I still have some left over from construction. I am concerned that if I break up the concrete, the edge stones will no longer hold properly and I would then have the problem of finding the garden (lawn) connection again. Thanks. Best regards

Paving stones do not need 60 cm depth and are probably 30/40 cm wide? Then lay the pipe 20 cm further away. Just avoid the concrete

The stones are 20cm wide and 8cm high and the underground cable must go underneath for about 1.5m in length. Currently, I have worked on concrete with a rotary hammer and made a trench about 30cm deep and about 5cm wide, but going much deeper will really be difficult. Would you lay the underground cable in sand there or rather put a rigid PVC pipe around it?

Why don’t you just lay it 30/40 cm away from the edge into the soil? If you forget it at 20 and want to plant something there, better put it in a conduit again. It’s just small change. And in case something happens, you’ll hit the pipe and won’t damage anything.

Why don’t you just lay it 30/40 cm away from the edge in the ground? If you forget it in 20 and want to plant something there, better to put it in an empty conduit again. It’s just pennies. And in case of emergency, you’ll hit the pipe and won’t damage anything.
