Hello everyone,

Can I lay tiles directly on a concrete floor or do I need to smooth the surface first with a filler compound? Has anyone of you done this already? If yes, I would be very grateful for your answers.

Hello Fox,

Of course you can lay the tiles on concrete. You have to use tile adhesive anyway. If there is a slight unevenness somewhere, you can level it out again with the tile adhesive.

Hello Mantafan,

Thank you for your advice. The floor where I want to lay the tiles is perfectly level. I will manage it.

Hello Fox,

And have you already laid your tiles? If yes, tell us how it went for you? I still remember how it was for me when I laid tiles at home for the first time. I had major concerns, but it turned out very nice and clean.
I wish you lots of fun tiling.
