Have you ever checked with the VPV (Verband Privater Bauherren) and similar organizations? They mostly also recommend a lawyer in certain areas.

Yes, we are with the Bauherren-Schutzbund and our first contact with a trusted lawyer was unfortunately not very pleasant. We would be reluctant to join another association/club.
