Dear forum,
we are building a house. In the construction performance description, it is agreed that the bay window will be clad with larch wood as follows:
36.5 Poroton T10, 2 cm base plaster, 2.5 cm batten construction, 2.5 cm larch wood tongue-and-groove cladding.
Now it has been executed without base plaster (urgent!) and it is said that this makes the plaster connections of the rest of the house easier to carry out.
But: is that really correct??? Is base plaster not necessary there? The site manager would also be willing to waive costs for us (less material, less work).
However, we do not want half measures!
Is Poroton alone enough, to screw the battens onto the bare brick and then put the larch wood cladding over it?
Many thanks for your expert contributions and best regards
