Hello, I would like to apply for a few lotteries and my family would like to support me. Now the question is, is that even possible? So I imagine a few scenarios:

1. A friend is drawn, can I then step in immediately and conclude the purchase contract and be normally entered in the land register?

2. I cannot step in and my friend concludes the purchase contract. Can he then say that I should be entered in the land register and hand over the purchase contract to me?

Greetings & thanks to those who help!

if it works like that, EVERYONE will have everyone they know registered to improve their chance of winning. most likely only the drawn person can buy (and have registered) or decline if lucky with the lot. everything else makes no sense either.

yup that’s not going to work. But it also normally says exactly that in the terms, that such things are excluded.

Unfortunately, my crystal ball is currently broken.
The land register and the corresponding law do not recognize lotteries.
The question will therefore be: What are the conditions of the lottery?

Most lotteries will have excluded such a scam.

It is also often excluded that married couples can apply twice (unless they have enough money or options to appear alone in the land register).

Passing on the property for a certain period (3-x years) is also often excluded.

And usually, there is a building obligation. Occasionally, self-use is also required.

Specifically, there are individual conditions for each "lottery"; the municipality provides these to the interested parties.

We also had to participate in some of these application procedures, raffles, etc. As already mentioned, the rules are always somewhat different (building obligation, repurchase right of the [Gemeine]...) But taking over from someone else will never work. That is absolutely not the point of the matter!
