We recently acquired a 500 m² plot and would now like to hear your assessments regarding the optimal planning. The plot measures approximately 20 m in width and 25 m in length. In the attached image, the graphic part of the development plan is oriented exactly to the north. I marked our plot in red.
The surroundings of the plot are as follows:

East: It borders a multi-family house.
West: Here are a public path, an infiltration basin, and adjacent farmland.
North: A field path runs directly by the plot, behind which are the neighbors' gardens.
South: There is the access road in a very quiet, purely residential area.

Against this background, we ask ourselves: Which house shape and placement on the plot would make the most sense?

If anyone has suitable floor plans or designs for similar projects, we would be very happy to receive your submissions and ideas.

The building window allows for a lot. Personally, I would plan the house for you so that you have your garden in the northwest. There you have a huge distance to the neighbors, a cool spot in summer, and in the early afternoon, you still get the sun through the floor area.

First, make clear to yourself how you want to position the house. It doesn’t make sense to talk about the layout beforehand.

Honestly? Whoever has all the possibilities finds it hard to choose?! Consider your daily routine, now and later with children. What do you do in the evenings, what during the day? Do you like sun? I always tend to a gable roof house because of the reserve under the roof, in case no basement is built. Your maximum height allows quite a bit. Garage on the right side, driveway probably also from SE, living area facing south and west with lots of glass, then the terrace on the west side for the reasons mentioned by . Gable facing east-west for photovoltaics, other options also work, you have to try that out. Cut out templates for house, terraces and parking spaces and experiment. Photograph the individual options and work out pros and cons. There is no right or wrong, but many building feelings with logic. That depends on you.
