Good evening folks,
We have a house here built around 1955.
Between the ground floor and the upper floor there is a wooden beam ceiling, the construction from bottom to top is as follows.
Wood paneling
Roof battens
Vapor barrier (could also be regular foil)
Wood beams
and then nothing for now.
Between the wooden beams there appears to be a filling made of clay.
Both floors are heated, this is not about an unheated attic or similar.
So I have the following plan.
I want to fill the missing loose filling between the wooden beams with dry clay loose fill, OSB boards are then to be screwed onto the wooden beam ceiling, on top of that will come impact sound insulation and laminate.
Is it possible to do it this way?
If the sound insulation downwards is not given, that would not be a problem.
I just want to know if it can be done like that.
Have a nice evening!
