Lagan cooktop stinks

Hello!

I have a problem that is currently giving me quite a headache with my LAGAN ceramic cooktop.
This afternoon it was connected by an electrician and earlier I wanted to use it for the first time.

However, a pretty nasty smell comes from the underside as soon as I turn on a burner.. This happens with all burners, I have tried. There is also no protective film left on the underside and I have already wiped the top several times.

Do you possibly have any idea if this is normal or if the cooktop has a defect? Has this happened to you too? I hope you have a quick answer for me...

I only know this from ovens, but it is also stated in the user manual there.
It’s best to call customer service (phone number in the user manual) and ask there.
