Hello dear people,
I am currently planning my Ikea kitchen and definitely want to place it on legs (Capita or UTBY) because it stands in a not very large living room and I think it looks much lighter than with a plinth panel. However, a dishwasher is absolutely necessary - since it basically stands free between 2 cabinets, I would cover it at the bottom with a homemade plinth (material from the hardware store or plinth panel from Ikea). The rest of the cabinets stand on legs.
My question: has anyone of you done this? Does it still look reasonably elegant or rather clumsy?
Variant 2 would be a small table dishwasher (e.g. from Bosch, usually 55 cm wide, 50 deep, 45 high), placed inside a Faktum base cabinet (the cabinet itself can stand on legs). Does anyone have this at home? Are there any concerns (too little air space, maybe they should rather stand free? Steam damage?)
Thank you very much for your inputs!
