Hello everyone,

since my house now meets the KFW 55 standard without additional costs, I of course want to take advantage of this funding. Therefore, I would like to apply for a Kfw loan.
The application must be submitted before the start of construction or groundbreaking (construction currently planned for September). Since there are new funding programs starting July 1st and I would achieve 100% renewable energy through the pellets (biomass) & solar combination, I could even apply for the "Effizienzhaus 55 Erneuerbare-Energien-Klasse" with a 17.5% repayment bonus. That would be quite something.
Am I even allowed to wait that long? It would be silly to take the old funding before July 1st now, or am I wrong?

Best regards,

Why not?
If you did not apply for BAFA funding last year, there is no financial advantage to using the old KFW conditions.
The only disadvantage is that you are only allowed to conclude the performance/purchase contracts after the KFW application. You would need to clarify this accordingly with the general contractor/developer/....

That means if I sign the contract for the construction of the shell in one/two weeks, I must have already applied for KFW. So I could only apply for the old subsidies after all. Where is that stated on the KFW site? So far, I have only ever read "start of construction."

This has changed with the future KFW funding. With the old conditions, this was possible. Under the new conditions, the KFW website states: "Important: Observe the order! You submit your application before concluding a delivery and service contract or purchase agreement. However, you can already use planning and consulting services before your application."

Well, then the new lucrative funding program is unfortunately off the table for me. Too bad. But thank you very much for the information.
