Hello,

for our construction project, we have some birch trees on the property that may only be felled with a permit.

The question for us is whether we can include the reason for felling as the construction of the house and the erection of a garage at the location where the trees grow, or if it is also possible to apply for the permit based on the poor condition of the trees and heavy shading for our future house.

Are there differences in the compensation (cost-wise) or in replacement planting measures depending on the reason for the tree-felling permit?

Who has experience with this? Which reason and the resulting measures would be sensible and involve little effort/cost for us?

Our project is in Berlin-Rudow

Hello,

It is more honest to use the building permit as justification, especially if the birches are within the building area. If you state the trees as "sick," they should be, because based on that someone will come out and inspect the trees.

As far as I know, no. You will receive a list of the replacement shrubs to be planted from the municipality in any case.

Kind regards

Hello construction expert,

It is indeed true that the trees are also sick and must therefore be felled.
