Hello,

today the time had finally come. In the afternoon, we were handed the keys to our move-in ready home. An expert was also present again during the acceptance. There were still minor defects to report, but all of them can be corrected without much effort.

All in all, considering what I often read here and elsewhere, I can probably be satisfied with 5 months and 3 days of construction time from the first groundbreaking, even if it could have been 4-6 weeks faster if some trades had not been so careless. On the whole, it went relatively smoothly. Nevertheless, I am glad that it is over for now. Now the move is coming up, which will surely be stressful again, as well as the landscaping of the outdoor areas.

When things settle down again and I find the inspiration, I might write some more concrete feedback about my construction project and my building contractor.

Best regards

Well then, congratulations. I went through the same thing almost 2 weeks ago, and now I am right in the middle of chaos and handing over the old apartment! I can only say, I am glad when it’s over and I can sit on the terrace :) with a beer, of course!

Hello perlenmann,

Great, then I’d also like to congratulate you!

Send me some feedback about the executing BU when you get a chance, (not the provider, I already know that) ;)

Kind regards

Thank you, Bauexperte.

You are right. I am actually also a friend of longer construction times, partly because of the drying. In this specific case, however, one must not forget that the house was not built monolithically, but the wall and ceiling elements made of brick were prefabricated industrially. In that respect, 5 months is actually already quite long. :D

I will definitely write feedback yet, but since all the gardeners are completely crazy, I have to take care of my outdoor facilities first. :D

Also, at this point, warmest congratulations to Perlenmann and lots of joy with the house.

Best regards

Hello,

Thank you.

I will probably comment on the GU here after everything is done and I have time again.
But now I still have to go tear out laminate....

So there will be new information in due course!
