Hello everyone
Our house is planned with a cold roof.
However, since we want the technology (heating and controlled residential ventilation) in the attic, we insulate the attic ourselves IN ADDITION to the insulated upper floor ceiling.
Now I am considering installing a small escape window. My main focus is on the satellite dish, possibly exchanging defective tiles, and maybe getting some light into the dark attic...
Does this escape window need to be insulated? The attic is NOT heated. It is only kept frost-free so that the technology can be installed up there.
Does frost come into the attic through the small window or do I have increased heat loss?
