I want to replace an outdoor faucet. In my inventory, I have a tape without any meaningful labeling. I have not found the product name on the internet.

Is it a sealing tape that I can use to seal the faucet at the thread to the pipe?
If yes, how many turns do I need to wrap around the thread?

I have no idea if it is meant for water, but considering the fact that the tape is at least 19 years old, I would generally stay away from it. Sealing tape becomes brittle over the years if stored improperly and thus fails its actual purpose.
