Is the signature of the neighbors necessary for construction?!

As I have now learned here, the signature of the neighbors is necessary for approval of a construction. So I looked into our state building code, which, with its legal German, does not really help me either. My question is more or less whether the approval of the neighbor is always required even in areas without a development plan? If yes, what rights do the neighbors have? Do they basically have the right to reject everything?

Hello, I guess that the neighbors always have the right to say no, but does that have any success? Because you can see that from the many lawsuits against airports or industrial plants that take place every year. If the construction is of interest, then as a neighbor you can't do much about it.
Best regards

Well, a private construction project is naturally not in the public interest, hence my concerns, because due to the dispute over the property with the neighbor, I can well imagine a refusal to sign. From a legal perspective, I would find that quite pointless if everyone were allowed to present their objections based on their own interests.

So the neighbors can request changes but certainly not generally reject a construction. Because wherever you build a house, you will inevitably block someone’s view. Lulu

Hi,

I think Huhn meant that when using a house there are certainly things a neighbor does not have to tolerate. But basically, a neighbor can make life difficult for a builder if he keeps filing objections!
