Is the power pole removable from the property?

Hello everyone,

this topic has probably been addressed before, but quite some time ago. Therefore, I would like to start anew here as the situation is a bit different for us.
Background: We live here in a small village and until a few years ago we were supplied with electricity via small wooden utility poles. These were largely dismantled after our village was connected to an underground cable. Except for 2 poles that still stand at my place and my neighbor’s. The one at my neighbor’s was repurposed, i.e. while it was previously supplied from there, the provider now feeds in at this point and runs the line over my property (first with a roof rack and then with a pole) to supply a single house at the other end of the village (the last one).
Since the pole bothers me (because of the slope, I would like to level the ground at this spot), it should disappear if possible. Is there a basis for this or another possibility? Especially since I want to redo my roof soon and the line would have to be cut off for a certain period due to crane work.

Hello,

in my opinion, in this case you can only try to have a conversation with your network operator.

Normally – at least that's how it was in our town – you usually get a warm welcome (especially when the poles have almost completely disappeared), because network operators much prefer (less failure-prone) underground cables to overhead lines on poles.

I therefore recommend inquiring with the network operator – which of course may mean, if I have understood the line routing correctly, that you might have to tolerate an underground cable supplying the "last" house on your property, if an alternative routing (e.g. in the street) is not feasible.

Regards,

Dirk

Hello Dirk,

I already plan to deal with the network operator, but would still like to discuss certain things beforehand, look things up, etc. The funny other thing is that the last house is at the other end of the village and there is also a mountain in between. User village has the outlines of a U and in the "opening" there is a hill (about 50m-60m high I would say). The house in front of the said property is about 30m before it and is already supplied with underground cable.
