Hello everyone!

I have a problem with the energy bill from Techem in our multi-family house. The last heating cost statement shows significantly higher values for one apartment, although the consumption according to the tenant was actually lower than the previous year. Checking the meter readings revealed that apparently a radio meter was not read correctly. Despite repeated inquiries to the Techem customer service, I have so far only received prefabricated answers, but no concrete clarification or correction. The uncertainty among the tenants is increasing and I don't know how to proceed best now. Does anyone have similar problems or tips on how to deal with this? Are other providers more reliable?

Thanks

No.

Keep at it.

Have an estimate made. If the reading was not done correctly and nothing is traceable anymore, this is the only option (which is also provided for in the regulation).

1. If you do not receive a good response from the service within a reasonable time, a letter to the chairman of the management board helps. Do not complain about the technology or employees, but briefly describe the problem and its impact (loss of trust - additional effort as a landlord) and request not only a technical solution but also support in communicating with your tenants. 2. Prepare the statement for your tenant based on the plausible values. Your tenants learn: you are reliable. This removes the greatest part of the uncertainty.
