Hello forum,
I broke out the dilapidated screed from our 18 m² large, solidly built (moderate quality) tool shed and then had a new one installed by the screed layer. The tool shed is unheated and therefore cold in winter, hot in summer.
One screed layer said the screed must be able to move and offered this with insulation strips. However, the contractor executed it with Knauf Katja membrane (according to the offer) and building foil. The result looks like shown in the pictures. Picture 04 shows the view at the wall, 06 is folded back from the wall, so the black part is on the wall, picture 07 shows aluminum coating and building foil.
This execution is unknown to me. Question: Will anything happen to my foundation without insulation strips? Is the procedure as shown in the pictures professional?
Thanks for any answers!
