Is it sensible to have approximately 5m³ of solid wood house leftovers delivered?

Hello, yesterday we calculated for fun how much "waste" is produced during the manufacturing of the walls and ceiling cutouts and came up with at least 5m³ of laminated wood panels with 10cm thickness. Our house builder says they could be delivered free of charge (possibly transport costs?) as they would not be deducted. Sections ranging from 1x1.4 to 2x2m would be included. Not to be moved by hand in a million years... unfortunately... Does anyone have a great idea what could be done with all this? I would like to build a small outdoor sauna for max. 2 people. Can this material be used for that? zapp

Raised bed just came to my mind. With that wall thickness, it will be an heirloom.

Are we talking about 5 SQUARE meters or 5 CUBIC meters?

With 5 cubic, you’ll have a surprise when it’s delivered. I would take 5 square, you can definitely use it if you’re interested in crafts...

Yes, really. 5 cubic meters (m³)!

Each door opening: 2x1mx0.1m, double terrace door: 2mx1mx0.1m, window approx. 1.4mx1.1mx0.1m, etc. For the whole house (2 semi-detached houses with 2 residential units each), definitely over 5m³ in total.

I am probably skilled at handiwork (at least I tell myself that :cool, the problem is my current limited mobility and the weight of the "panels". A 1x2m large panel (each door opening weighs approx. 100kg (2x1x0.1x ~470kg/m³). It is somewhat unwieldy - or ...

Whether you have space and can move/store it in the end only you yourself can know.

The 10 cm material thickness should not be underestimated, it also has to be workable. Every table saw or jigsaw is hopelessly overwhelmed by this. From that point of view, I would leave it...

Many greetings! mini
