A wonderful good evening to ladies and gentlemen!

1. For our washbasin, today the 2 single-lever concealed installation sets (Ideal Standard A5948NU) were installed, see picture.

2. My wife is left-handed and we are wondering whether we can turn the left concealed single-lever mixer set by 180 degrees without

2.1 the surface-mounted single-lever faucet then standing upwards or having to stand upwards

and without then

2.2 the hot and cold sides being swapped?

Can someone kindly explain this to me?

Best regards and wishing you a relaxing week

The control lever is actually intended to be on the right. It is already installed that way under the plaster. You cannot just turn it. I also cannot imagine that there is a faucet for left-handers.

Politely explain to the lady that a single-lever mixer can also be operated with the right hand. Otherwise, reach over from above with the left hand. You learn that eventually. It takes some time—I had the same problem. The control lever is on the left side and I am right-handed.

You can of course rotate the concealed fitting completely, but then you also reverse the lever action. If the lever is then supposed to point downwards like yours, you have to push to open and pull to close? Who wants that?

I would ask the supplier of the fitting. You have only installed the concealed part for now.

Thank you Yes, that makes no sense. We will leave it as it is. Have a nice Sunday!
