Is it better to let the oil heating run empty before renovation, or rather not?

Good day everyone,

Some time ago I bought a house with an old oil heating system. The house is currently unoccupied and will soon be renovated, during which the heating system will finally be replaced. I was advised to keep the heating running at a minimal level to prevent mold and so that the masonry does not cool down. Due to the onset of winter, I am gradually doubting whether the remaining amount is still sufficient. There are three heating oil tanks with 1600L each. Height per tank about 170cm. The tanks have no display, but I was able to measure the height in one tank with a folding ruler, which has a remaining fill height of about 20cm from the tank bottom.

Can I simply run the oil heating system empty or should I rather refill it as a precaution? Would it be dramatic if the house stood without heating for 3-4 weeks? Due to the spatial distance, I cannot be on site daily.

Best regards

Lightly heat until the tanks are empty. That is a manageable consumption. 15 degrees are sufficient.
