Is iron-containing water also suitable for masonry?

Hello, :)

I have a question. While the shell construction was being built, the masons used regular drinking water for the cement (via a standpipe that we borrowed from the local utility company here). Now a neighbor has offered us to use his well. That would of course be great, as the rental for the standpipe is not exactly cheap. However, the groundwater coming from our neighbor's hose is yellowish-brown in color. I think it has a high iron content. Now I am not sure if this poses a problem for the following trades that need this water for their work, such as the bricklayer, exterior plaster (we are getting a two-part exterior facade), interior plaster (partly clay plaster), and screed. Does the iron affect the quality and color of the materials? Could it maybe eventually be washed out and then settle on the exterior facade (brick, white plaster)?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Regards
Tatze

I am not an expert, but I could imagine that the iron always seeps out of the wall and you get stains!? but that is just a guess from me.
