Hello everyone,

I am considering using [BESTÅ] units as an under-sink cabinet and bathroom cabinet. Does anyone know if they are suitable for damp rooms or should I rather not try that?

Thanks,
Tom

No. They are not. But surely the first one will come soon to discuss that to death. :D

Well, then I have to write something now.
The board-on-frame construction alone makes BESTÅ unsuitable as a washbasin base.

cool idea for sure.
Since 2007, we have had a white 8-cube Expedit with the boxes and two drawers standing in the bathroom. Until 4 years ago, it was used only as a storage surface, and for the past 3 years, it has been placed directly next to the bathtub.

So far - knock on wood - nothing has swollen, warped, or anything like that.

I would proceed here using the "try & error" method and test it out - maybe you’ll find the pieces used on qouka, ebay kleinanzeigen, or something like that
