Hello everyone,
we have purchased a house built in 1962 with an extension from 1992. In the extension, the exterior walls are lined on the inside with an insulated wallpaper. It seems to be a ready-made product: woodchip wallpaper with a 1 cm soft, white insulation layer. We want a smooth interior wall. Removing the insulated wallpaper is tedious and leaves adhesive residues (applied at the time with a fine notched trowel). Do we risk mold if we simply screw or glue drywall panels onto the wallpaper?
Thanks for tips!
Best regards
