Is Asspario builder's liability insurance recommended?

since my construction work starts next month (finally), I wanted to ask about the experience regarding price/performance with the Asspario insurance? Here you get the fire shell construction for 12 months thrown in for free, if this is switched to a building insurance after construction!

Are they recommended for builders' liability, fire shell construction & construction performance insurance?

I closed a construction service contract with asspario. The insurance certificate came from INTER Versicherung.
Asspario itself is not an insurance company but a sales service provider for insurances. They build a product and forward the contract conclusion to an insurance company, but manage the contract themselves.
That's nothing unusual nowadays. Domcura is also such a structure; you end up there quickly when looking for building insurances. We also took one out, the policy came from Barmenia.

The benefits of both insurances are very strong for the price. In the case of building insurance, you have to wait and see if that stays that way. There is a 60% new building discount included in the contribution, which decreases by 2% each year.

I have builder’s liability included in my personal liability insurance. My entire personal liability insurance is a few euros cheaper per year than the cheapest builder’s liability insurance I could find ... but that’s about a one-time 100€ for construction, in the end, it’s no big deal.

As a professional, I would not recommend the at first glance "cheap" insurance. Instead, inquire with the big players like Allianz, DEVK, VKB, AachenMünchener, LVM... These are usually somewhat more expensive, but they pay out without much grumbling, provided it is a claimable damage. The coverage limits are generally unlimited, and many important inclusions that one does not initially consider are also included. You have to really think about it: you build a house for a lot of money and insure it like a simple barracks. In addition, the agents still have various discount contingents that are not factored into online calculations. Best regards
