Is an air heat pump usable for basement cooling?

Good day,
my basement storage room (new building) is too warm and now even warmer because the electrical systems and a storage unit for the photovoltaic system have been installed in the adjacent boiler room.
My question: Can an air heat pump be installed in the very warm boiler room that absorbs the warm air and brings in cold air?

And where would the heat pump discharge the heat? There are domestic hot water heat pumps that draw energy from the air in the heating room. But you won't achieve huge cooling effects with that.

Of course it is possible. It's also called an air conditioner.
