Is a kitchen island about 160x140 cm big enough?

Hello,
who has a kitchen island with similar dimensions?
I am not sure if the space next to the cooktop is sufficient, as I would like to have an 80cm wide cooktop.
And is a distance of 1m between the island and the kitchen unit enough?
Maybe someone can share their experiences with me?

I find 160 just too short, especially for an 80cm cooktop, 140 too deep.
Our kitchen island is 180 x 90. If there were more space available, 200 x 100 would also work well – but for us, it’s enough. However, the cooktop is not centered on the 180, but there is 30cm on the left and 90cm on the right where the preparation takes place. 40 or 60 would not be enough.
Ultimately, it also depends on the entire kitchen layout overall.
One meter is enough between the counter and the island, as long as this meter is not also used for other purposes (like another traffic path, so to speak). Besides, one meter becomes tight if drawers face each other in this area or if the property is located there.
