Hello, can someone answer this for me? About 5 months after moving into our house, we had a water softening system installed (we initially wanted to try without one - but then quickly scheduled an appointment for retrofitting water hardness 28° ) - can I claim this on the tax return? Regards Hemali

Yeah. The labor costs for sure. We ourselves deducted the garden and landscaping work carried out after moving in; everything was recognized. What is after moving in no longer belongs to the construction project.

I am uncertain because I have often read about "Erhaltungsmaßnahmen" and in the tax return software only maintenance and repair work are listed...

How high were the labor costs? Is it even worth it?

That’s always worth it?!

Deducting should work.

And is it then always only the labor costs that can be deducted? So do I only specify those as well?
