Is a building permit also required for a carport and equipment shed?

yes, it does sound a bit strange that neighbors have to agree if you want to build something on your own property. but as is well known, many things are possible that one considers impossible.

Hello everyone, so my carport is now in place. There were no problems with the neighbors either. They also believe that it’s none of their business what I do on our property as long as they are not disturbed in any way. So, lucky me! :cool:

Hello! So I needed a permit. Here you need one for almost everything....;) But it's not like that everywhere. I would ask the city.

My parents built such a garden shed and didn’t need a permit for it. -Seems to be really different everywhere. The thing with permits for everything and everyone is really annoying though..especially that you don’t need to get approval for having a mouse hole in the kitchen...
